It’s a great day when a client reaches out to share their story of how One Call Now has vastly improved their business operations. That’s exactly what happened recently when Robert Steward of DiversityJobs.com contacted me to let us know how much One Call Now has improved attendance at their job fair events. Read on:

DiversityJobs.com hosts job fairs in 10 metropolitan areas including New York City, Chicago, Washington DC, Atlanta, and the San Francisco Bay Area, connecting bilingual and diversity candidates to great companies, including 95 of the Fortune 100.

DiversityJobs.com started using One Call Now when they began holding job fairs in 2006. They quickly realized the importance and difficulty of communicating their events regularly to a very large audience. Today they use the One Call Now service to make announcements to their pool of registered job candidates. In addition to their registered candidates, they also promote career fairs to other job seekers via traditional media, such as TV, Radio, and Newspapers.

According to Robert Steward, the promotion efforts begin more than 2 months prior to each event and they use One Call Now’s polling feature to gauge interest and forecast attendance. When the calls go out via One Call Now, the call recipient can use their keypad to respond to specific questions such as “are you planning to attend”. This allows DiversityJobs.com to plan accordingly and avoid surprises at the time of the event.

“With One Call Now, we are able to send a few timely reminders. Typically, we send one a couple of weeks prior to the event and another just a couple of days before. Because emails are sometimes overlooked or end up in junk folders, they are not as effective. Phone call reminders get noticed and they significantly improve our attendance. Good attendance is crucial to the success of our diversity career events, reports Steward, and the reminders that we send through our One Call Now service help us achieve our goals. To date, we’ve made over 100,000 calls and plan on using the service for all of our diversity career events this year!”
